Primary Source Analysis. Students will analyze letters archived from the Civil War. Within the lesson, students will work to identify common themes within primary sources. Students will each receive a modified Civil War letter addressed to them which fosters engagement in the content.

This picture is my husband's grandparents on their wedding day in 1929. This picture was long lost until a couple of years ago when distant relative had a copy. What makes this special is the frame, made from salvaged wood from Grandpa's birth cabin. Even if you can't tear down an ancient structure, at least get pictures of them before they collapse and include the story that goes with it.
